Star Wars Day Signature Event
The Santee Library is known for their super fun signature events, and one in particular is just ahead. I bet you know which event I am talking about.

The amazing Star Wars Day event has taken place each May, for the past five years. Fully funded by the Friends of the Santee Library, this event could not take place without their support. We thank them for this gift to the community and remember them when it's time to shop for books. The friends own and operate the Friendly Used Book Store, which is located a few doors down from the library, and all proceeds from the store support the Santee Library and events such as Star Wars Day. The Friends will also be at the event to raise awareness and funds for the New Santee Library Building. Be sure to stop at their booth to say hello, thank them and learn more about what is happening in our community.
At this years Star Wars Day there will be a change of venue. As most patrons know, the library is a small space, we are a supportive community, and big events get overcrowded. In efforts to accommodate this years Star Wars Day it will be held at Mast Park, just behind the library. Directions Here The library staff are excited to have the extra, outdoor, space to work with. The venue will allow for more fun, crafts, games and other activities.
